Michael is the Managing Partner at Apex Claims Solutions. He has 12 years of adjusting and management experience with various independent insurance adjusting companies. Through his career, Michael has handled substantial and complex construction, commercial property, transportation, and environmental losses. He also has experience with cross-border losses and claims with multiple claimants. 

Michael has successfully completed the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. He is currently studying through the University of Calgary to complete his Bachelor of Arts (BA) designation receiving a double major in English and Greek & Roman Studies.

Craig Mackay is a Senior Loss Adjuster who has been operating out of Southern Alberta for the past 15 years. With experience in complex commercial / residential property, transportation, cargo, equipment and liability losses, Craig brings a comprehensive approach to handling claims. 

Craig has been involved with multiple catastrophes including the Calgary flood, hailstorms, Fort McMurray wild fires, Fort McMurray flood and the B.C. atmospheric storms.

Lewis Moorman is an Executive General Adjuster with over a decade of experience handling large-loss and technical claims across Canada. He began his career in Toronto, later expanding his expertise in Calgary and Edmonton, including leadership roles in national and regional firms.

Lewis has managed numerous complex files, including multi-million dollar fires, equipment breakdowns, and major infrastructure failures. His broad background includes both adjusting and brokerage, offering a strategic, well-rounded approach to claims management.

 Chris is an Executive General Adjuster with over 26 years of experience handling complex property and liability claims. Chris began his adjusting career in Calgary in 2000 and has since managed large technical losses across Western Canada and internationally. His experience includes catastrophe response, senior oversight of high-exposure claims, and acting as control adjuster for institutional clients. He has worked within the technical risk and complex claims divisions of national independent adjusting firms prior to joining Apex Claims Solutions.

Chris specializes in commercial property and business interruption, commercial general liability, course of construction / builder’s risk, wrap-up liability, and commercial equipment and fleet losses. He also has extensive experience in dispute resolution, acting as both insurer representative and umpire.

Chris is licensed in Alberta and British Columbia and provides senior technical support on complex and high-exposure claims.

Luke Thompson is a Loss Adjuster with 8 years of experience in residential and commercial property claims. He began his insurance career in 2017, building a strong foundation in commercial property, condominium, and liability losses before focusing on catastrophe response.

Luke has handled large-scale claims from Hurricane Fiona, major deep freeze events, and widespread flooding across Eastern Canada. His work also includes rural farm equipment losses and high-volume weather-related claims.

 Amanda brings 5 years of industry experience across both insurance brokerage and restoration, giving her a uniquely well-rounded approach to claims handling. She began her career as a broker in Ontario before moving into the restoration field in BC, where she managed everything from residential losses to large-scale commercial projects. This blend of frontline restoration knowledge and insurance expertise allows her to support clients with clarity, confidence, and exceptional technical understanding.

Amanda has contributed to multiple CAT events across Ontario, Alberta, and BC, acted as a control adjuster for major retail and banking chains, and has developed strong capabilities in commercial property, CGL, and personal property claims. She is licensed in Alberta and British Columbia and is actively pursuing her Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.

 Dave Pohl is a senior commercial insurance adjuster with over 25 years of experience handling transportation, cargo, equipment, and property losses across Western Canada, the Territories, and the United States.

Dave serves as Apex Claims Solutions’ Edmonton-area representative, supporting insurers and brokers with responsive local handling. He specializes in commercial auto and fleet claims, cargo losses, heavy equipment files, and commercial property losses, bringing a practical, technically informed approach to complex first- and third-party claims.

Dave’s background as an independent adjuster and mechanical investigator, combined with his Red Seal Journeyman Motor Mechanic credentials, provides strong insight into mechanical failures and loss causation. He is known for clear communication, technical credibility, and efficient claim resolution.

Jamie brings a unique and powerful blend of experience to the role, with over 15 years in healthcare and a background as a Correctional Officer. Her exceptional skills in communication, crisis management, and conflict resolution allow her to navigate complex claims with professionalism, precision, and empathy.

Jamie recently graduated top of her class in Business Administration – Risk Management and Insurance and was recognized with the Insurance Institute’s Most Deserving Student Award in 2024. She is currently pursuing her Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation through the Insurance Institute of Canada.
